Responsibilites:
- Responsible for design, operation and performance of electrical elements of the facility.
- Prepare costing and estimates, reports and design specs.
- Supervise and inspect the installation, testing and operation of electrical and electronic systems.
- Develop maintenance and operating standards.
- Investigate electrical or electronic failures.
- Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction and maintenance.
- Supervise technicians.
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of engineering experience in commercial manufacturing and/or automotive.
- Familiarity with ISO-9001 /14001.
- A Bachelors degree in in electrical electronics engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the Province of Ontario an asset.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming.
- Knowledge and experience with APQP and process FMEA an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, AutoCAD etc.
- Ability to adapt, multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management and scheduling skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement with a high degree of motivation and drive.
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
