KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER
GTA

PSG has been engaged exclusively by our client who is a well-known global manufacturer who specializes in the food service industry as well as having a strong retail presence.  They seek a self-motivated food-service salesperson that has entrepreneurial drive, is very ambitious and is a true consultant when it comes to managing the entire sales process with their customers.  This exciting role offers exposure to street accounts, key accounts as well as distributors.  The focus of this role is business development.  Our client offers tremendous career growth and visibility with the Canadian head office located in the GTA.  This role includes a very competitive salary, bonus, company car and other great benefits that are associated with working for a large company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop formal annual account business plan(s) including full budget responsibility
  • Manage the implementation of all account plans
  • Prepare and present customer presentations, product sales seminars, quarterly business reviews etc.
  • Completes all reports on time and follows up quickly with all internal/external customer requests
  • Maintain enduring account relationships based on trust and respect
  • Prospecting for new end user accounts
  • Focus on business development through efficient client prospecting
  • Reach assigned account volume goals to ensure positive growth and profitability
  • Develop in conjunction with each account a clear and innovative growth strategy
  • Meet corporate profitability objectives through effective account management

 CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • College or University degree with 5 years sales experience preferably in the food service
  • industry
  • Posses a high degree of effective communication, presentation, negotiating and listening
  • skills
  • Superior time management and organizational skills
  • Innovative problem solving and decision making with focus on high level of customer
  • service and recognition of business objectives
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well with minimal direct supervision
  • Team player who is capable of working in an ever changing environment
  • Superior proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Understanding & familiarity with SAP concepts & programs an asset.
  • Bilingual in French would be an asset
