NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – WAL-MART
Mississauga

Our Client is a global powerhouse in the area of consumer goods, and has a tremendous portfolio of products.  They provide an environment with excellent career growth opportunities in a fast paced environment.   It is an entrepreneurial but highly stable and fun culture.  Permanent Search Group has been retained to source a National Account Manager for this dynamic company that will be responsible for managing their Wal-Mart business.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop creative programs, secure additional real estate and execute in–store events.
  • Ensure support is obtained to maximize the company investment and strategic initiatives by: Securing customer listing and distribution prior to media support and planning advertising support and in–store activity to line.
  • Monitor PO's to minimize fines and maximize shipping opportunity.
  • Manage customer requests for samples and product information.
  • Liaise with customer service to ensure issues are resolved with PO's to meet required ship dates.
  • Manage key indicators to maximize our business potential i.e. off take, shipping inventory and turns.
  • Participate in Trade Shows & other customer initiated events.
  • Develop account specific programs to drive volume.
  • Effective development and presentation of briefs for the Agency of Record.
  • Utilize payback analysis on account specific initiatives.
  • Present product features and benefits at both import and domestic trade shows.
  • Demonstrate product to the customer in order to secure listings, drive volume, and generate co–op advertising while tying into Brand strategies.
  • Direct field level resources (Mosaic) to focus activity on priority items and brands.
  • Manage activities to drive the customer business including new store openings and special store events.
  • Liaise with agency to ensure in–store execution of merchandising initiatives.
  • Coordinate the development of Plan–o–grams that meet the customer and company objectives.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years National or Key Account management experience.
  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to constantly changing priorities.
  • Computer efficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and Cognos.
  • Ability to set goals and achieve them.
